Welcome to Afan Boats Club
The Afan Boats Club, is situated in the mouth of the river Afan, which is the entrance to Port Talbot docks.
Our Slipway provides on average 3Hrs launching either side of high water, with floating pontoons on either side. Moorings within the river are offered on a waiting list basis. We also have three secure boat storage compounds available for members. In addition if you would rather just use our slip without storage in a compound we have trailer membership available.
Our facilities provide easy access to Aberavon beach, which is safe for bathing, providing areas for surfing and general fun on water. Morfa beach and Margam sands provide excellent summer and winter angling and with Swansea bay and the Gower peninsula close by we are spoilt for choice. Main target species being Tope, Mackeral, Bass, Bream, Cod, Rays, Huss, Dabs, Plaice, Whiting and Dogfish. Locally there are two Wrecks, the Cabenda, and the Stalheim both producing a variety of species throughout the year.
